Our targets come in a small variety, from metal spinners, whose targets spins around to indicate a hit and thereafter, self-resets into their original position. The spinning effect can be somewhat amusing, however, the railing construction is a sort of metal that, if repeatedly struck with pellets over the course of months, will give in. Thus, intended for those who own a rifle and can manage fairly accurate shots. These products typically come with bright orange replacement stickers, to apply as their predecessors are shot to shreds. Fun toys, but do not particularly measure high. Reason being that, if one misses, one is most likely to shoot into the ground, rather than resulting in a wayward flying pellet.
We also stock two knock-down type targets- Targets consisting of a steel frame that can be set into place. They resemble a large rat, although hitting the rat itself will result in nothing but sound report. The aim is to get a hit on the central part of its gut, where a recessed target sits behind. Only when this target is hit, will the target topple over, as though to mimic an actual rat being hit. It is a nifty tool for learning pest control with regards to rats and how to strike a clean killing shot, should one be of a mind to practice such out in a rural environment. Alternatively, this target makes for a fun simulation, even if one might never plink rats and pests. It comes supplied with a 40m pull chord, to reset the target from a distance, without needing to shift target position. Having three or four of these set up in the grasses, would also be a good introductory to pest control for our younger shooters, in order to learn how to acquire a target, prior to taking the shot, provided dad had set them up prior in strategic places. Also categorized here, are our 2 duck and 4 duck traps that resets by hitting a central target, instead of being hinged up with a the pull of an attached cord.
We stock RAM branded A4 target sheets too, suited for centre-fire gun owners who needs something that has reliably proven itself to work as intended and help with aiming corrections as are necessary. These would certainly be of use to those using CO2 pistols as well, for lower budget training, although the shot reports on these aren't the best. Then again, those who use these for mag dumping focus on the target, not on their previous shots.
We also stock 140 x140 mm tagboard targets with a traditional concentric design, for making taking shot groupings with pellet or BB, pistol or rifle. These are as cheap as R1 per unit (sold in packs of ten), to test out pistol draw-and fire techniques, for correcting one's pistol grip and/or learning to accomodate for blowback/simulated recoil, all on a more precision scale. Those in the market for self defense gas pistol usage might not find this level of accuracy necessary, however, the more accurate one's draw-and-fire technique, the larger the margin of error would be permissible to still score a hit.
Pellet traps work in conjunction with the above, except that they are intended to catch the shot after it has passed through the target seated in its grooved slot and prevent the potentially harmful lead from contaminating the environment. In this way, the pellets can be easily collected afterwards and disposed of or recycled afterwards.
Finally, we stock DAISY branded shatter targets, made of hard baked clay into a brittle state. These will break almost like glass if hit by a BB and come with plastic stands to be mounted atop of. Their reusability is very low and are best utilized for instances when a positive and clear hit report is necessary. Its bright orange makes target acquisition easy, ideal for ingraining muscle-memory when practicing target-acquisition. Could work well for amateur dry firing exercizes as well, if practicing tactical movement through an assault course, provided one sets these up strategically.
NOTICE:
Please don't use BBs to fire at any metal targets. It will cause unpredictable ricochets and may lead to injury or damage to property. We accept no responsibility for any of our metal targets incorrectly used in this way.
Use only with plastic BBs, under 350 FPS and stand a distance away when firing at the board, as it is made of plastic and can eventually break if continuously shot at, at close distance with a high muzzle velocity gun.
